Everything happens to us for a reason. Everything is predetermined. There are no accidents in life. So, when something bad happens to you, you need to take a pause, step back, and ask yourself a few questions: "Why is this happening to me? What purpose does this situation serve? What am I supposed to learn from this situation?" Try to glean some insights from the situation as best you can. You may not find the answers immediately, they may come to you in time, or, they may never come in this lifetime. The important thing is to take the time to understand and make some sense of the situation, and develop some kind of a game plane to move forward and attack the challenge head on. Be an aggressive fighter, not a passive victim. Fight the good fight is really all we can ask of ourselves. Right? If not, what then?
